| POSTING GUIDE LINES General Posts The forum Admin/Moderators will remove any posts on these forums that they consider to be libellous, defamatory, threatening, overtly hostile or likely to cause distress to any other forum users. This is an ENGLISH language forum please post only in English. Posts in other languages will be removed without warning. This includes posts made in text speak or lots of abbreviated words. Posts written in capital letters may be regarded as shouting and can sometimes be difficult to read. These will be edited or removed at the moderators' discretion. Personal abuse towards other forum members will NOT be tolerated on this forum. It's a sure fire way of getting your post pulled and yourself warned or banned. While the majority of the users on these forums are adults we do ask that you do not post anything of an overtly sexual nature and keep the swearing to a minimum. Pictures You may post pictures on the forums, however FerretsForum.co.uk cannot host the pictures for you. Please keep the maximum size of pictures to 720 pixels wide or below and a file size of less than 500Kb. It is possible, when using some hosting sites, to post your photographs as clickable thumb nails, this is an ideal option to help with the speed of the forum. Pictures WILL be removed if they are too large, interfere with the page layout or make the page too slow to load. Animal Sales and Rehoming The sale of animals will not be allowed on this forum and all users should read the rules specific to this HERE.. Any post that advertises any animal for sale will be removed. Rescues will be permitted to advertise their available animals in the RESCUE section of the forum. Private rehoming is done at the discretion and risk of the owners and after the initial post must be done by PM, any request the moderators feel is unsuitable will be deleted. Inappropriate Posts Should you feel any post is inappropriate or in breach of the guidelines please contact the Moderators. We will do our best to deal with the situation as quickly as possible. There is a 'Report' button above all post for this purpose. Please do not contact one person directly, the use of the 'Report' button will alert all moderators and allow them to deal with the situation more quickly. They will do this at the discretion of the moderating team. Moderators are able to edit, alter or delete posts made by every member but will only do so when absolutely necessary. Signatures Signatures can be either normal text an image/picture or a combination of both. Whatever the format, signatures should NOT exceed the same space as 5 lines of normal text (including gaps). This equates to an image of approximately 720 x 100 pixels. Signatures taking up more space than this on the forum WILL be removed. Offensive signatures or signatures containing links to other forums or commercial or offensive websites will be removed by moderators without warning.  Usernames Offensive usernames will be removed. Multiple usernames are NOT allowed. Anyone found to be using multiple usernames will be contacted & their alter egos will be deleted. It is possible for Admin to amend your username. If you wish to change your username PM Admin and it will be changed for you. Note: Changing your username will NOT allow you to disassociate yourself from your previous posts as all your existing posts will be attributed to your new username. Advertising/ For Sale Members who are supporters can post in the for sale section, other members will not be allowed to sell anything via the forum for personal gain. The moderators must approve links to all other forums BEFORE they are posted. Personal website links will be allowed but they will be removed if they are inappropriate or if they are commercial and you are not a supporter, this includes links to your ebay shops and sales. Auctions to raise money via the forum for other forum members will not be allowed. If you wish to donate money to rescues that use this forum please do so privately. Rescues who use this forum will be allowed to fund raise via the Inactive Users Anyone who has been registered for more than 6 weeks and who still has a post count of 0 will be deemed an In-active User. In-active Users add nothing to the forum & only clog up the forum database and will be deleted! Getting Banned Contrary to popular belief it is not easy to be banned from these forums! We do try to moderate and censor as little as possible, however we are always willing to discuss IN PRIVATE if you think we have made an error of judgment. Please contact the Moderators by EMAIL or PM in these cases. We will not enter into these discussions on the forum. The Forum Staff |
